Children enjoyed the Tri-County ExCEL play group today. They read "Christmas Parade" by Sandra Boynton, did the North Pole Freeze, sang "Jingle Bells," created their own jingle bell parade, and made their very own ornament. Children received their own copy of "Christmas Parade" along with their own jingle bells and maracas to take home. We wish all of our families a very Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you at our next play group on January 26th!
Congratulations to all who were a part of Arsenic & Old Lace. Your hard work showed on and off the stage. Thank you also to Director Dave Prince.
GAMEDAY! The Tri-County Lady Penguins (1-1) are at home tonight for a 7:00 tip against Pittsville (5-0)! Come on out and support the girls!
In Social Studies, Mrs. Detlor's 2nd Graders have been learning about democracy, U.S. symbols, the three branches of government, voting, and the presidency. In their final lesson, they read the book Grace for President and learned more about electoral votes and choosing the candidate that's best for the job. Students used their voter registration cards and another form of ID to register to vote. They voted for either Grace or Thomas, from the book, in a mock presidential election. Grace Campbell won in our classroom and in the story. These kiddos had a blast and rocked the vote! #voting #socialstudies #TCproud #2ndgradeROCKS
